FAQ

Q: Where are you from?
A: I was raised in Lowell, Massachusetts, surrounded by cats, canals, and bookshelves, and then moved to Boston for college (shout out to Emerson), and never really left!

Q: What are some things you love?
A: Korean dramas, caramel lattes, throwing themed parties, hockey (go Boston Bruins!), wine, changing my hair color, and introducing friends to my favorite TV shows, of which I have dozens.

Q: OK, but what are your fave TV shows?
A: Oh my god, thank you so much for asking. Some of my all-time favorites are Teen Wolf, Roswell, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Sense8, 7th Time Loop, Love020, Gilmore Girls, Solo Levelling, YOU, Timeless, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Dawson’s Creek, Inuyasha, and The Vampire Diaries.

Q: What inspires you to write?
A: Well, Oracle of Ruin was inspired by a dream I had about Chadwick Boseman – no lie. Other stories of mine are usually based on a single idea like, “What if there was a whole town of werewolves?” or “It would be neat if when someone said “bless you,” it actually did bless you somehow.” See my short stories for examples of where these musings end up.

Q: What is your writing style like?
A: I’m a big fan of NaNoWriMo: National Novel Writing Month. I love deadlines and being competitive with myself and others, so this works well for me. I’ve competed ten times and I love the push it gives me to just let loose and put words down on the page! I use Microsoft Word (sorry, no fancy apps here), and listen to playlists on Spotify that match the vibes of whatever I’m writing. I’m also big into outlines, and lately I’ve been giving the Index Card method a try – and I like it!
